This policy explains what personal data we collect through awyxmedia.com, why, and what rights you have. It is written to meet the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Spanish data protection law (LOPDGDD) and the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA).

What we collect and why

When you book a call

The booking calendar on /book is provided by GoHighLevel (LeadConnector). It collects your name, email address, phone number, the time you pick and anything you add in the form.

  • Purpose: to arrange and hold the call, send you confirmations and reminders, and follow up about what we discussed.
  • Legal basis: taking steps at your request before a possible contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).

When you email us, including to request the ebook

The ebook and contact buttons open your own email app. We receive your name, email address and whatever you write.

  • Purpose: to reply, send you the ebook you asked for and follow up on your request.
  • Legal basis: your request (GDPR art. 6.1.b) and our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us (GDPR art. 6.1.f).

When you use the calculator

The win-back calculator runs only in your browser. The numbers you type are not saved or sent to us.

When you switch between light and dark mode

Your browser stores your choice on your own device. It is never sent to us. See our Cookie policy.

When you visit any page

Like every website host, our hosting provider records technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to deliver the website and keep it secure.

  • Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (GDPR art. 6.1.f).

We do not use analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or any other tracking tools on this website.

Who receives your data

We share data only with the service providers we need to run this website and our business. They act on our behalf:

  • GoHighLevel (LeadConnector, United States): booking calendar, call scheduling and the platform we use to run client campaigns.
  • Cloudflare (United States): security service used by GoHighLevel to protect the booking calendar from bots.
  • Google (United States): hosts this website (Firebase Hosting), and delivers fonts (Google Fonts) and files (Google Cloud Storage) used inside the booking calendar. When you open /book, your IP address is sent to Google to deliver those files.
  • Google Workspace (Google LLC, United States): hosts our email inbox at hello@awyxmedia.com.

We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to tax authorities or courts.

Transfers outside the European Union

The providers above are based in the United States. Transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep your data

  • Booking and email enquiries that do not lead to working together: deleted within 12 months of our last contact.
  • Client records and invoices: kept for as long as Spanish tax and commercial law requires.
  • Hosting logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period for security.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • give you access to your personal data and a copy of it,
  • correct data that is wrong,
  • delete your data,
  • restrict or object to how we use it,
  • send your data to you or another provider in a portable format,
  • withdraw any consent you gave, at any time.

Email hello@awyxmedia.com with your request. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm your identity.

If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (AEPD), at www.aepd.es.

US residents, including California

  • We do not sell or share your personal information, as those terms are defined in California law. We do not use it for targeted advertising.
  • To ask us to delete your personal information, or to ask what we hold, email hello@awyxmedia.com. We will not treat you differently for asking.
  • Do Not Track: we do not track visitors across websites, so your browser's Do Not Track setting does not change how this website works.
  • Third parties: no third party collects personal information about your online activity across websites through this website. The booking calendar provider receives only what you enter and the technical data described above.

Member data from gyms we work with

When a gym hires us, it shares its member list so we can run its campaign. For that data, the gym is the controller and AWYX Media acts only as a processor on the gym's instructions, under a written data processing agreement.

  • We use the list only to run that gym's campaign.
  • Only AWYX and the software we use to run the campaign (GoHighLevel) can access it.
  • We never sell, rent or share it, and we never contact those members for AWYX or anyone else.
  • We delete it within 30 days of the campaign ending, unless the gym keeps the monthly win-back running.

Gym members who want to use their rights should contact their gym. If they contact us, we pass the request to the gym. Read the full details on our Data and compliance page.

Children

This website is for business owners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we will also tell clients and anyone who booked a call by email.
